Class Act didn't start off as an album project, although it developed quickly once I realized what I had. Since March of 2018, I have been taking a Recording and Production class at Brunswick Community College in Southport, NC, taught by none other than Jamie Hoover of The Spongetones. The class chooses a song to study and Jamie teaches us how to record our tracks properly, what effects to use, and otherwise how to get the sounds we want for our projects. Jamie encourages everyone to record as complete a version of each song as possible in order to get as much as possible out of the class. After three years, I found myself with enough tracks that were completed, or at least close enough, that I needed to put in just a little more work to finish them. The result is Class Act... I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did putting this together!

Shout outs to Barbara McFall and everyone at Brunswick Community College for offering the class; to Jamie Hoover for sharing his experience, talent, and for providing endless encouragement; to my classmates for making it even more fun; and to those taking classes nearby for putting up with the noise.
